last time he broke his foot he was out for 10 weeks....i think this was during euro 2004?

if he doesnt make the squad whos going to take his spot?

i dont see any other player with the same quality that can replace him.

He'll now not play in the tournament. Which is a very big shame. Previously I wouldn't have bet against England winning it, but now I think their chances are ruined. You can't just replace Wayne Rooney.

Is England not taking Owen?

I would pick Defoe and Bent over Crouch at anytime.

The news here is that michael owen may be out as well.
Also John Terry may be doubtful.

whats wrong with owen?

i know terry had a big knock with rooney, but he kept on playing didnt look like he was suffering to much.

michael owen has a re-occurence of his foot injury and jt had ten stitches in an ankle injury as well as ankle damage.

There's nowt wrong with Owen.

On the Rooney front, its his 4th metatarsal, not quite as bad as the 5th metatarsal he broke in 2004 and is estimated 6 weeks. Take into account he is gonna want to recover asap, we wont need him to cruise through the group stages, and sven would push him out in a wheelchair if he had to and I think we will be ok! KEEP THE FAITH ENGLAND FANS!!!

Terry will be there no fear. Good player to give us something different up front: Marlon Harewood. He is a complete unknown to world football and even he doesn't know what he's going to do!

Disagree, we will cruise the group and unless owen is fully fit, we will then struggle in the quarters. Harewood is very quick and him and defoe would frighten all but he top sides.
