 Post subject: Euro 2008 Fan Camp Switzerland
Just like last year with World Cup Camping we will open a Fan Camp for the Euro 2008 in Switzerland.
The massive camping area is located at a lake with a lot activities to do. Zurich, Berne and Basel can be reached conveniently in around an hour from Lucerne, which is about 20min away by train and car.
Just like for the World Cup we will have a giant screen with all live games, tournaments, games and of course we will be running coaches to the games.
The official site can be found at:

Hey no jokes about other nations, especially about Poland.
The Admin is Polish and you might be banned for such intolerable behavior.
Just kidding!

I think it's important to have 2 good base locations in Swizz and Os. Being in a central location is all well and good to reach the games but if there's nothing to do it kind of sours the experience a bit.
And besides, Switzerland are working on a 36-hour travel pass that allows you unlimited travel throughout the country. And with probably the most breathtaking scenery in Europe I don't think I'd mind travelling a few hours on the train to a match.
Basel's the only one I've been to and it just seems like the kinda place rich people go to spend money on crap, although there is a huge erotica hypermarket just round the corner from the main ground!
Sarnen seems a sensible choice to me.

@Beard
It might be a problem if you have to travel to the next day game from Geneva to Vienna, though.
Which takes 12 hours with 1 change at the least.
@Bailey
nice to hear from you
how are you, mate?

By the way it looked you wouldn´t believe how stressful, exhausting and time consuming this whole project was.
Are you coming back from Down Under for the Euro 2008?
